Samuel Tindell Percussion Muzzle Loading Chunk Gun Dated 1890

This is an antique percussion muzzle loader over the log gun or chunk gun made by and marked Samuel Tindell 1890. The heavy octagon barrel is 46 1/4" long and is about 52 caliber. The barrel has two old holes drilled for a scope??? or some sort of sight cover??? or?? A rear sight dovetail has a filler and appears to be the same age as the rifle. Double set triggers and lock work great. Aluminum butt plate I believe is a replacement. The stock has a built in cant bar and is solid with a crack at the toe of the stock from being set down to heavy. The English made Tower lock is dated 1861 and marked Tower with the English crown on it. An old Redfield receiver sight and custom built base has been added. The front sight base is present but is missing the front barrel sight. Actual weight 19.10 pounds.
