Kirst Cartridge Konverter with loading gate to convert .36 caliber Pietta Remingtons to shoot 38 Special. Drops right in most revolvers and converts your cap and ball into a cartridge revolver. Some minor fitting may be required. No FFL required to our knowledge, though the buyer is responsible to know local laws regarding this matter. SASS legal with a lifetime manufactures warranty. Owner has the option of cutting a loading port in the frame (template supplied) and convert your Remington using the new Ported Kirst Cartridge Konverter with loading gate, then add the ejector assembly to complete your conversion, just like Remington did in the old days. All Kirst Cartridge Konverters are precision CND machined in the USA from 4140 Steel and heat-treated. The cylinders are for black powder ammunition or "Equivalent Loads Only," which includes the current Cowboy Loads on the market. This must NEVER be installed in brass framed revolvers. Not recommend for original antique Remington Revolvers.
