This Howell Arms conversion cylinder for the 1851 Uberti with engraving. The RD1851UE converts your Uberti 1851 or 1861 Navy revolver to fire the .38 Long Colt cartridges using hollow base or heeled type bullets. You can also use 38 Special Hollow Based Wadcutter ammunition. This model gives you the superior handling characteristics and outward appearance of the honored Navy, with the convenience of cartridges! Once the loaded cylinder is in place, it is extremely hard to tell it is a cartridge revolver. Naval Battle scene engraving found on the original cylinder is included. To overcome the larger bore of the original barrel, it is recommended that you use hollow based bullets or heeled type bullets.
(If, after installation, you are unsure of the fit, please take you revolver to a competent gunsmith to make sure you have the cylinder installed correctly.)
