Lyman Angle Cut Ceramic Case Cleaning Polishing Media 1.6 Pounds
Ceramic media has long been used for industrial applications and this technology is now being applied to the shooting sports. We do not recommend the use of this product in any other tumblers other than the Thumler Tumbler line of tumblers that we carry. Using this product in any other manufacturer tumblers will invite early failure.
Using our tumbler item #TT140, TT140HS or TT140EX, place 2-3 pounds of ceramic media in the tumbler barrel and fill with tap water in until its 1" above the level of the media. Put 1 tablespoon of compound in, or if the cases are extremely dirty, put in 2-3 tablespoons. You may then put up to 6 pounds of de-primed cases for polishing and cleaning. Run the tumbler for 3-6 hours. There is no need to prewash your cases but we do recommend that you de-cap them first. After draining the compound rinse off your cases with tap water and dry.
This cleaning method is recomended for use with straight wall cases and some bottle neck calibers. Some of the suitable calibers are 40-65 Winchester, 40-70 SBN, 40-90 SBN, 40-90 SS, 40-70 SS, 40-82 Winchester, 40-70 Winchester, 44-90 SBN, 44-77 SBN through 45-120 3 1/4" Sharps, 50-70 Government through 50-140 3 1/4" Sharps.
